PROPERTIES OF MATERIALS

Pre-tempered steel (tempered) for molds and tools of medium and large dimensions with good workability. Polishing improved by the very low sulfur content. Reliable repair welding and high thermal conductivity.

Superplast® 2738 mod. it is supplied in reclaimed state at 290 – 330 HB (30-35HRC)

Thanks to an optimal balance of elements (in particular boron) and high quality heat treatments, Superplast® 2738 mod. it has homogeneous hardness along the whole thickness section (up to 1300mm). In contrast, W 1,278 standard is highly heterogeneous in terms of hardness from the surface to the core.
