It is a martensitic stainless steel corrosion resistant, characterized by the following properties:
- Good mechanical strength and toughness;
- Excellent for the manufacture of components that have to withstand corrosive plastic / abrasive;
- Excellent machinability due to the sulfur content;
- Able to work in the presence of a humid atmosphere and condensate;
- Suitable to wear resistance and corrosion resistance;
- Very stable dimensionally in the heat treatment step;
The main applications are the molds and mold-holders for the plastics industry eg. PVC.
