Fine grain steel with high carbide content with exceptional wear resistance. It can be nitrided, coated and lends itself well to being polished.
Applications:
Molds for fine cutting (double acting) and cuts of stainless steels, magnetic sheets and pre-treated tapes. Molds and punching for rapid molding presses, in particular for stainless steels. Molds for hot and cold extrusion. Inserts and molds for injection or pressing of abrasive thermosets, ceramics, powdered metals and resins. Any application in which extreme abrasion resistance with high levels of hardness is advantageous.
